Hi John

I like your post. Interestingly, this all hinges around beliefs and self mastery. If we expect to be old etc at ‘x’ age, then we will be. The expectation (belief) then sets the reality.

There’s tribe that runs everywhere, and for long distances. The tribe holds the belief that they get stronger and faster as they get older. Consequently, the oldest are the fastest runners in actuality. In essence, we hold similar beliefs with education and skills development. Eg. more education equals more chance of success – but interestingly, many highly successful people are ‘self-made’.

Yes, life’s an inner game. Everything hinges on the self, and self mastery is the key. As humans, we’re given the ability to think at a higher level. Unfortunately, we don’t. At least not in the way we were designed to. For many, ‘free will’ or ‘free thinking’ is just their belief system in disguise.

When we become more of our-self, we need less. And the control is in letting go of the control. Trying to control only reinforces what we’re trying to escape from. Know thyself and self mastery, that's the key. I've created a programme around that, it may be of interest.

Although young persons have more potential, even older ones can achieve what they want as long as they are dedicated to it. Young persons, on the other hand, can easily be drowned in a sea of partying, cynicism and a happy-go-lucky attitude.

needless to say, a personal vision can achieve wonders in one's life. :)
